About Us
Welcome to Next Step Nurture, we are a dedicated team of professionals who work with children supporting social, emotional and behavioural needs through a child and family centred holistic approach.
We work with young people age 4 to 11 years, collaborating with families to nurture their children’s well-being. We support children with additional needs, behaviour that challenges, attachment needs, family bereavement and communication barriers.
We draw on experience and knowledge to formulate support plans that are achievable within the family home, this unique and targeted support facilitates understanding of behaviour, nurturing development and improving outcomes for children and families.
Our Approach
Our approach is built on communication, through our professional experiences we have developed an attachment centred ethos that underpins all of our interactions with those we support.
As holistic practitioners, an integral part of our approach involves us adopting an emotionally attuned play based approach, using playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy.
We understand that children need to feel they have connected with the emotional part of their brain before they are able to engage in any problem solving tasks. This is especially important when we are asking children to emotionally regulate, stop, think, choose and respond.
We therefore tailor our support to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural development needs of your child, aiming to improve their outcomes. We work alongside you as a whole family, sharing tools and strategies to help your family develop the skills and knowledge needed in order for you to thrive and grow together.

Our fundamental aim is to nurture the needs of children, developing high quality bespoke tools and strategies to support families, aiding children’s social and emotional well-being.
We will only agree to work with families whom we believe we have potential to successfully support. Through our initial consultation we will determine if we are a suitable support for you and your family’s needs.
Location
Next Step Nurture delivers personalised sessions within the home environment for those based in the South of England, specifically covering Dorset and Hampshire.
We charge 45p per mile in addition to our session costs to accommodate travel.
